(sub)Missive exhibition

The results of the (sub)Missive exhibition will be exhibited alongside the Leeds International Artist Book fair. We are also working on organising a private view which will hopefully be at 6pm on Friday 6th March to coincide with the first day of the fair. There will also be another exhibition opening of Chinese books curated by Chris Taylor and John Macdowall who organise the book fair as part of their PAGES project. So all in all, lots of creative endeavours to whet your book art appetites. I will be sending out an invite on facebook and yahoo with more info nearer the time.

As well as this, Tom Hobson, one of the artists involved in the project is organising for the books to travel to Chapel Arts Centre in Cardiff for the end of March to be exhibited as part of their new book arts venture. If anyone has more ideas or contacts for exhibiting please comment or get in touch.

First post

Firstly, thanks for the invitation Louise. It's great to see that there's a solid book arts community out there, in Web 2.0 land...

I think it's a great place for us to share ideas, techniques, skills and knowledge, not to mention news of fairs and exhibition opportunities.

Is anyone exhibiting at Leeds in March?

Author blogs

Thought it would be nice for people to view personal blogs so I've added an author blog list. If anyone wants to be added who isn't already or even wants to be admin let me know :)

New Blog!

Hey guys!
Welcome to the new blog for all your book art endeavours. I appreciate that many of you have a varied practice but I would like to keep this blog specifically for work relating to book art. Please feel free to post about any new work, experiments, fairs, inspiration and any other related nonsense you can think of. Happy posting! x
